Unfortunately, neither set of firefighters was able to locate the two trapped workers. More than 90 firefighters were called to battle a massive fire at an apartment complex that was under construction near SouthPark Mall Thursday. The fire started shortly after 9am on Liberty Row Drive. Their fire alarm started to go off in their building, so the office workers evacuated.

Before that worker could climb down, firefighters brought him "protective equipment" to help him manage the intense heat of the crane and its ladder during his descent.
The sergeant called for backup, and that's when the four responding Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers were shot, Jennings said. A construction worker who was trapped in a crane when the fire broke out has been rescued, Queen City News reports. A large fire broke out Thursday morning at a construction site near Charlotte's SouthPark area, and 15 people, including a crane operator, were rescued as crews battled the blaze. For more than an hour, firefighters were attempting to help the crane operator trapped on a construction crane surrounded by the blazing structure, the outlet reported, citing emergency radio. Fire officials said crews had several "maydays," which means crews were either trapped or had access issues when escaping. In total, 15 workers were rescued from the site and no firefighters were injured.
Fire investigators have confirmed the fire began accidentally. The fire was started by a trailer that was spraying insulation material as part of the construction efforts. Johnson said the firefighters could not see the trapped men but "were going by sound and trying to get to them." So she’s sort of persona non grata [at work], but publicly kind of a hero. When Ruth arrives back to the former location of the Langmore trailers, Camila is already there waiting for her. The new cartel boss holds Ruth at gunpoint, but she doesn't back down – in fact, Ruth says she's not sorry, and even encourages Camila to pull the trigger when she doesn't immediately fire. Eventually, though, Camila does shoot, and Ruth dies. Cabrera is tortured in the same room Marty was back in season 3, under Marty's supervision. Eventually, Cabrera breaks and falsely confesses to trying to have Navarro killed.

Earlier this season, Marty and Wendy schemed to get Mel his job back on the Chicago police force. Naturally, it wasn’t choice they made out of the goodness of their hearts. Reinstating Mel meant that he would be unable to testify in Nathan’s custody case against Marty and Wendy. Well, even though Mel got the job he always wanted, he wasn’t able to leave the Byrde family alone. Truly, we could watch Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, and Julia Garner argue and scheme forever.
Nobody sets him straight on this, which means the blame doesn't fall on Ruth or Rachel. Ruth threatens Marty, Wendy, and Clare to get them back to Clare's office, then orders them to get Javi in the building. Wendy calls him and lures him over, later reasoning to Marty that it was inevitable anyway. That proves very difficult, so once again they switch tactics and arrange a deal with Navarro's sister Camila and the FBI instead. When the series ends, she's still alive and Navarro is dead – which means the Byrdes are free to go. Ben is still considered a missing person, and Nathan returns home without ever finding out what happened to him.
Camila then threatens the Byrdes and says if they try to warn Ruth, she'll have them and their children killed. A good finale should bring the story to a close, while also hinting at the next chapter that would follow after the show ends. So it was with the last episode of Ozark, where Camila Elizonndro (Veronica Falcón) tied up all the loose ends before taking over the cartel. Sadly for Navarro, that meant tying up the loose end that was her brother's life. Javi ended the first half of the season pointing a firearm at Marty after murdering Wyatt and agreeing to a deal from the FBI on behalf of his uncle. When the second part returned, Ruth was on the hunt for Wyatt’s killer.
If she’d have left him alone, despite his suffering, he’d still be alive. By the end of the first half of the season, Ruth emotionally learns that her cousin Wyatt (Charlie Tahan) Langmore is unable to leave the Ozarks with her, instead planning to marry Darlene (Lisa Emery). After pleading with Wyatt not to go, Ruth asks Frank Cosgrove Jr. (Joseph Sikora) to murder Darlene as retribution for killing his father.
Of course, Mel knows Ben is gone… but Jonah kills him before he can expose the Byrdes. It seems the truth dies with Mel, and the world will never know what really happened to Ben. The Byrdes try to bribe their way out, but Mel tells them they're not going to win because the world doesn't work that way. "Since when?" Wendy asks, then Jonah gets Mel at gunpoint. The Byrdes look pleased, Jonah closes his eyes, and we cut to black at the sound of a gunshot. Just as he is ready to leave and expose them, however, Jonah turns up with a shotgun trained on Mel.
She trapped them the moment the family moved to the Ozarks, arguably long before that, when Marty first began his work for the cartel. Just when they're all back together as a family, it seems possible it will all be ripped apart when the fateful car crash that's been teased all season finally happens. Everyone makes it out okay it seems, except for Wendy, who is stuck in the car. After a tense moment, they get her out and she's ultimately okay, if a little banged up.
Nelson follows Ruth when she goes to visit the sheriff, but is gone when she leaves. This sends her into a panic, and she calls Rachel and tells her that the cartel is coming. Rachel grabs a gun and gets up on the roof of the trailer. But, Navarro's sister Camila Elizondro (Verónica Falcón) – the mother of Javi – tries to have her brother killed after the death of her son.
The former dropped in January 2022 with the latter released nearly four months later in April 2022. As the family business grew more lucrative, they relocated to the Ozarks in Missouri and kicked their entrepreneurial efforts into high gear. Ozark season 4 started in a tense place after the Byrde family were fully embedded into cartel life — and separated from one another. Lastly, Ruth attending the party dressed in all white after her criminal record was cleared was the perfect way to tell us she wasn't going to make it.
